The Industrial Developers' Handbook will be a guide that is produced for those purchasing industrial land and constructing an industrial facility in the Municipality of Clarington.

 

The handbook will outline all aspects related to the purchase and development of industrial land in Clarington. It will provide detailed steps to purchase industrial land, and information on the process to obtain Site Plan Approval and Building Permits.

 

Zoning regulation for industrial development, as well as a summary of costs, such as development charges, utility rates and municipal taxes will also be provided.

 

In the mean time, as we are producing this valuable tool, to ensure the smooth and timely processing of available land purchases and development, staff of the Office of Economic Development are more than happy to meet with purchasers, developers and contractors, to review the process, address questions, and facilitate approvals.
