Durham Tourism invites local artists and venues
to participate in Culture Days
WHITBY, ON – Durham Tourism is inviting all eight local area municipalities, artists, event producers and arts organizations to celebrate arts and culture in Durham Region during Culture Days from Sept. 24 to 26. The arts and culture festival is occurring nation wide and will be celebrated by a number of communities across Canada, including Durham Region.
Durham Tourism is encouraging all interested individuals and venues in the region to register their Culture Days event online at www.durhamtourism.ca and www.culturedays.ca before July 30.
“We are encouraging all artists and venues in Durham Region to participate in this event to celebrate their pride and heritage,” explained Kerri King, Manger of Tourism for Durham Region. “While the event is still in the planning stages, we look forward to working with the talented local artists and venues in the region, while promoting a comprehensive marketing plan that will support events across Durham.”
Durham Tourism is requesting that all interested participants register by July 30 to take advantage of marketing opportunities, including having their event listed on the Durham Tourism website. To register your event online at www.durhamtourism.ca, click on Events > Register your tourism event.You will the need to register yourself as a new user if you haven’t used the site before. Please note that you will not see your event go live immediately as it will need to go through an approval process first.
