WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE, BUILT FOR YOUR BUSINESS
2016 marks the 18th year for the Clarington Board of Trade and Office of Economic Development. Over the years with the support of our local business community and municipal staff and elected officials, CBOT has developed strong programming and initiatives to ensure business growth, retention and expansion is thriving in Clarington.
Relationships build your business. We have all heard that to succeed you must continually connect with new people, cultivate emerging relationships and leverage your network. Networking is critical if you want to succeed… but so is creating partnerships.
CBOT is well positioned to help you connect with many strategic partners that can help you achieve your business goals. With our new office now up and running we are very excited to be able to bring these partners to the table to work with you. Watch for new programming with the Business Advisory Centre in Durham working with a mandate to help start up companies to get their ideas off the ground. In addition we will be starting programming with the SPARK Centre/DSEA in Durham who will be helping existing businesses in growth mode strategically identify markets, partners and funding sources.
There are many associations or organizations that will not only provide your business with the tools to grow, but help you develop a quality business network. Industry organizations ranging from Retail Merchants Associations, and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters to your local Chambers of Commerce or Boards of Trade are good examples of supportive partner associations. Creating partnerships will help expand your perception and definition of opportunity and success. CBOT is here to help you make these connections. Call us anytime to help you resource your networks.
Ultimately, it’s not about who you know... but who knows you. Building relationships through networking and partnerships not only creates a resource base, but also results in you serving as a resource, helping others succeed – expanding your sphere of influence.
